I want to change the world, <\/span><\/p>\n

help people who have no one else<\/span><\/p>\n

I want to be the smile surrounded by tears<\/span><\/p>\n

I want to be the courage, that drowns out fears<\/span><\/p>\n

I want the broken and the bruised<\/span><\/p>\n

the destroyed and the abused<\/span><\/p>\n

the depressed and the confused<\/span><\/p>\n

to come and listen <\/span><\/p>\n

to this story all my own<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ve been ripped down to my bones<\/span><\/p>\n

stripped of all I ever was<\/span><\/p>\n

taunted and tormented by the thoughts of what he did<\/span><\/p>\n

what he does<\/span><\/p>\n

The guilt, it eats my soul<\/span><\/p>\n

surrounds my being, <\/span><\/p>\n

swallows me whole.<\/span><\/p>\n

I did nothing, out of fear<\/span><\/p>\n

and now everything seems clear<\/span><\/p>\n

what I should have done and didn’t<\/span><\/p>\n

what I could have done but wouldn’t<\/span><\/p>\n

I guess I use this lame excuse<\/span><\/p>\n

that the sexual abuse<\/span><\/p>\n

clouded and took over<\/span><\/p>\n

but from that day I’ve known the truth<\/span><\/p>\n

I’ll make something good come from this <\/span><\/p>\n

help people like me<\/span><\/p>\n

see that they are in control, <\/span><\/p>\n

stand up, smile, and believe<\/span><\/p>\n

you can still change the world<\/span><\/p>\n
